1. 19/1/83.
Nagpur. The crew have 7034 ready to take over no 134 Express for its run on C.R. territory
from Nagpur to Bhusaval. |
2 20/1/83. Nagpur.
WP 7021 wheels the Madras Janata express into Nagpur for a service stop, the WP and
crew continued beyond Nagpur. Note the unusual Star of India motiff on the smokebox. |

3. 22/1/83. Kurduvadi.
ZE 101 and G 729 are two impressive locos on the narrow gauge, being Mikado and Hudson
types. |
4. 22/1/83.
Kurduvadi. F 724 is prepared at the shed for its next duty, the building being
erected behind the loco is part of the new diesel shed, for machines which will lead a
more pampered life! |

5. 23/1/83. The
late afternoon at Miraj sees the arrival of the day train from Kurduvadi behind an F
class.
Miraj was a fascinating triple gauge junction with steam and diesel on all three gauges by
this time. |
6. 23/1/83. After
the arrival of the narrow gauge train a YP is seeen departing for Londa and Hubli. |

7. 26/1/83. A pleasant
stay in Goa was completed by riding the steam hauled pass behind YD 30159 up to Londa. The
banker attached at Kolamb was YD 30160 and is seen "digging in" on the climb to
Castle Rock. |
8. 26/1/83. Londa Jn and
YP 2866 is serviced whilst working the Miraj Mail, settle back for the long journey to
Bombay, this is nearly the end of my trip and the end of the page. I hope you enjoyed the
